General Process for Logo Design:
Your Goals and Ideals:
A discussion about the client’s business goals and audience with graphic designer. Any suggestions on color or other logos the client likes are always helpful. The number of colors also needs to be decided upon. Most businesses should have a 1 color logo for faxing and other print pieces or a logo that will look good on a black background and a white background. If the logo is for a website it can have unlimited colors but should still have a 1-3 color option.
3 Different Design Comps:
I supply 3 different logos for the client to choose from and make comments on. Typically we want to narrow down to one of these designs.
Winning Logo Revisions 1:
Taking client suggestions to create the final logo.
Winning Logo Revisions 2 – Creating Finalized logo:
After first suggestions are taken into account, the client has one more opportunity to make any final revisions.
Finalized Logo Files:
I supply the client with finalized logo in original design files (ai) and jpg/png/gif/psd (depending on needs of company) files of various sizes for the company to use on big to small projects.
